New Home Network was established in 1993, located at 209 Broadway at the intersection of Route 53 and Broadway in Hanover, Massachusetts. New Home Network is the marketing arm for all of our companies. We offer all aspects of a full-service real estate sales company through MLS, as well as your connection to all areas of new construction.
Through our affiliated companies, we can meet all of your real estate needs — be it a new townhouse condo, single-family subdivision, or custom building. We are dedicated to making the purchase and construction of your new home fun and easy.
Our Story
Leonard Development Corporation
Established in 1981, Leonard Development specializes in the development of residential subdivisions and townhouse condo projects. Over the years, we have created new communities in Scituate, Marshfield, Hull, Dedham, Duxbury, Braintree, Whitman, Hanover, and several in Pembroke. Quality, design, and attention to detail are evident in all of Leonard Development's homes. We are continually seeking new land for the development of residential projects to meet the needs of the market. K&E Construction
With the encouragement of their dad, Kerri and Eddie formed K&E Construction in 2001. They started with single-family homes and then went on to build several townhouse condo buildings. Both Kerri and Eddie have grown up in the business and possess many years of experience. Today, they have refined the process of building a custom home on your lot to a level that actually “makes it fun.” Kerri has both the personality and knowledge to make her clients comfortable dealing with her. Ed has the experience and expertise to bring together all of the complex issues involved in construction. In 2004, Kerri’s husband, John, joined K&E Construction. He is now the Director of Construction and is on-site every day. This team can make the construction of your new home a great experience!
Meet the NHN Team
It began in 1981 as a hobby. Today, 28 years later, the companies established by Philip Johnson encompass all aspects of residential construction, development, sales, and finance. Starting from the ground up with single-family homes, the companies now design, secure local approvals, develop, and market residential projects, from townhouse condo projects to all types of single-family subdivisions on the south shore. As company president, Phil is responsible for providing the leadership and vision for the company and the development of residential projects. He has a hands-on approach for all aspects of the development to ensure exceptional design and amenities for all new residential communities that are developed.
Founder
Phil Johnson
As the founder Phil Johnson’s son, Ed has done every job in the business and has 30+ years of experience in the construction and site work end of the business. He has performed and managed all phases of construction and has personally overseen construction for hundreds of homes on the South Shore. In 2001, he started his own construction company with his sister Kerri, and that business is now NHN’s custom building division. Having supervised on-site for so long, Ed has recently switched his focus to operations for the company. He currently manages all pricing, contracts, and financial aspects of the custom building division. His knowledge of construction, site conditions, local town logistics/politics, and home design makes him the one at NHN who can work out all the feasibility and technical aspects of turning customer concepts into their dream home.

Ed Johnson
Raised in the business, daughter of NHN founder Phil Johnson, Kerri has a solid 30+ years of real estate and construction experience behind her. It took Kerri just two years practicing real estate to become one of the top-producing agents on the south shore. In 2001, she switched focus and started her own construction company with her brother Ed…a company that has done so well that it is now the official custom building component of NHN. Kerri, the face and front office of NHN, is an expert in helping clients identify their needs and desires in a home/property and working with them to make things happen within their financial comfort levels. Kerri is personally involved with every stage of design in creating clients’ dream homes. She built her own home in 2002 and is one of the very few female holders of an unrestricted construction supervisor’s license in Massachusetts.

John Rehm
John came to NHN from Fidelity Investments, where he started working as a temp during high school and college vacation breaks. After graduating from Colby College, he spent the next 13 years working in several areas of the company, at one point being responsible for customer service for a group of VIP clients with $1 billion in assets with the company. At the time he left Fidelity, he was managing a staff of technical analysts in their Institutional Brokerage division. His years at Fidelity taught him the customer service, communications, and organizational skills necessary to manage construction projects efficiently and to the customers’ satisfaction. Like Kerri and Ed, John also holds a Massachusetts unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License and, since joining the company, has built hundreds of homes for NHN and their customers. His superior customer service focus and attention to client satisfaction make the construction phase of NHN projects what clients repeatedly say was one of the best parts of their home-building experience.
